NORTH DEAL COMMUNITY PARTNERSHIP
Welcome to the North Deal Community Partnership website. We
are a local community led partnership aiming to create a sustainable
neighbourhood by improving the provision of services, welfare
and leisure opportunities in our area.
About North Deal
The North Deal ward is a largely residential area of Deal,
in East Kent. It is tightly bound on three sides by the
English Channel, a railway line and established golf courses,
with the town centre to the south. Deal has all the characteristics
of a small market town, while being a traditional seaside resort.
North Deal has a population of about 7000 people.
There is a marked lack of services, employment and learning
opportunities in the neighbourhood. In recent times, key elements of community infrastructure
such as community buildings and open space have been lost, with
no replacement facilities to support an ever expanding local
population.
